Delete account

Delete your Aposa account.

How to request deletion, what is removed, and what happens next.

These are Aposa’s account and data deletion instructions. You can request deletion in the app or by email, including if you no longer have the app.

These instructions also apply if you signed in with Facebook, Google or Apple. Deletion removes the linked sign-in identity records from Aposa on the same schedule below. It does not delete your Facebook, Google or Apple account. If Facebook did not share an email address, use the in-app controls or contact us for help verifying ownership; never send a Facebook access token.

Request deletion in Aposa

  1. Open Aposa and go to Settings.
  2. Open Account, then choose Delete account.
  3. Read the confirmation and confirm your request. Keep the deletion date shown by the app.

The recovery window starts when the deletion request is accepted. If you cannot reach these controls, use the email route below.

Request deletion by email

Email contact@argentnexuscommunications.com with the subject Delete my Aposa account. Send it from your linked account email where possible, and say that you want your Aposa account and associated server data deleted. If you use Apple’s private relay, include the relay address linked to Aposa so we can find the right account.

We may ask you to verify account ownership before processing the request. Don’t send a password, sign-in code, recovery key or private writing. The 30-day window begins when your verified request is processed, not when the email is sent. We’ll confirm the scheduled deletion date.

What happens, and when

When your request is accepted
Your account is marked for deletion and ordinary account activity is restricted. Pending Pal letters and gestures involving your account are revoked, including sealed letters waiting for a future opening date, and your Pal push registrations are removed. Aposa’s encrypted backup-key copy is deleted immediately, including during the recovery window.
For the next 30 days
Your account identity and related server records are retained so you can request account restoration. Restore before the deletion date if you change your mind. Restoration does not restart cancelled Pal deliveries or bring back Aposa’s deleted backup-key copy.
After 30 days
Your account is no longer restorable. The deletion job removes eligible accounts on its next run: account and linked sign-in identity records, profile, sessions, consent receipts, Pals connections and related sharing records, push records, exports and any older server-hosted personal data or backups. The exact completion time depends on the job running successfully.
Limited records that expire later
The deletion queue entry, including the account ID and email, is set to expire 37 days after the request (seven days after the recovery deadline). Backup-key security audit records contain salted account, IP address and browser/device hashes rather than your writing or backup key; they expire 400 days after each event. Automatic expiry is asynchronous, so removal may occur shortly after those times.

Your phone, your cloud, and received letters

While your account is active, we may hold a sealed Pal letter’s encrypted envelope on our server until its opening date, up to one year, and then for up to seven days for collection. We remove it sooner after confirmed receipt or cancellation. Content-free IDs and hashes may remain for 30 days after the opening date to prevent duplicate sends; account purge removes those involving your account sooner. Requesting account deletion cancels waiting letters immediately, and restoring the account does not bring them back.

A server deletion request cannot remotely erase private data on your phone or your own iCloud or Google Drive backup. If you want those copies removed too, delete the local Aposa data and remove the Aposa backup from your cloud account, including any recoverable trash or recently deleted items offered by that provider. Uninstalling the app alone does not submit an account deletion request.

Letters already received and saved on someone else’s device are their local copies. Deleting your account does not erase those copies.

If you may need your cloud backup later, keep your recovery password or key before requesting deletion. Aposa’s copy is removed immediately and cannot be recovered by restoring the account.
